Rajya Sabha elections :counting on hold, August 8, 2017

The counting in Gujarat Rajya Sabha polls has been put on hold amid allegations of cross voting and violation of poll code. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala told media on Tuesday evening that two of rebel Congress legislators had shown their ballot papers to BJP President Amit Shah and another independent candidate. Surjewala said that Congress has communicated its grievances to the Election Commission in writing and even given them evidence to corroborate their claim.
