In a significant development, after hearing the arguments from both sides, the special CBI court, Panchkula, today reserved its order in a sexual exploitation case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh for August 25 and also directed him to appear in person before the court on same day. The case against the dera chief was registered against in 2002 by the CBI on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court acting on anonymous letters alleged sexual exploitation of female followers in the dera. He was allegedly accused of raping the two female followers. Meanwhile, the security has been put on alert in both Punjab and Haryana a head of the verdict.
