Sunita Kejriwal, since the arrest of her husband, has released several video messages, which is being seen as a political strategy of the Aadmi Aadmi Party (AAP) to give her a broader political space. The question doing the rounds in political circles is whether Arvind Kejriwal is planning to hand over the reins of power in Delhi to his wife. The BJP leaders are already saying that Sunita Kejriwal is preparing to be the next Chief Minister of Delhi ever since her husband was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Recently, Sunita Kejriwal also initiated the ‘Kejriwal ko Aashirwad’ campaign sharing two Whatsapp numbers for his supporters to send their messages and extend their support. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 by the ED in the alleged excise policy scam and is currently in the financial probe agency’s custody. Sunita Kejriwal shared the dias with top opposition leaders including Congress chief Malliarjun Kharge, MPs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and Sitaram Yechury.

On this day at Ramleela Ground the Nayagaon Team of Punjab (Kharar) also reached there for protest in which Hazoora Singh Babla (Distt. Secretary), Joginder Singh (Member), Tarlochan Singh and other party workers mark there presence. 

She began her address by posing a poignant question regarding the Prime Minister’s role in her husband’s arrest, asking whether it was justifiable. “I want to ask a question. Is it justifiable that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has imprisoned my husband? Do you believe in the integrity and patriotism of Kejriwal Ji? Despite calls from BJP members for his resignation due to his incarceration, do you think he should step down?,” she said, before reading out the letter by the Delhi Chief Minister.

“Remember, your Kejriwal is resilient like a lion; they cannot confine him for long. Kejriwal lives in the hearts of crores of people because of the bravery and courage with which he is fighting for the country. Many times, I feel that in the freedom struggle, he was a freedom fighter who was martyred while fighting for the country. Even in this birth, Kejriwal ji has probably been sent to fight for Mother India,” Sunita Kejriwal said.

Portraits of Bhagat Singh and B.R. Ambedkar alongside the Tricolour in the background of Sunita Kejriwal’s video messages garnered more attention than her speech itself. Social media buzzed with discussions about Sunita Kejriwal’s speculated political debut. Many posts drew parallels with Rabri Devi, who assumed the role of Bihar Chief Minister in 1997 after her husband Lalu Prasad was jailed in a corruption case.

However, it’s worth noting that Sunita Kejriwal holds no official position within the AAP and her occasional appearances haven’t triggered significant political responses. Reacting to Sunita Kejriwal’s address, Union Minister Anurag Thakur sarcastically remarked that the AAP leader’s wife has now joined the list of aspirants vying to succeed Arvind Kejriwal.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari questioned Sunita Kejriwal’s past actions, highlighting instances where she seemingly stood by as her husband “broke promises”. He also criticised her for assuming a position of power amid controversies surrounding Arvind Kejriwal’s governance. The most noteworthy reactions, however, centred around Sunita Kejriwal delivering speeches from the same seat that her husband typically used to occupy during his addresses. While some interpreted this as a symbolic transfer of power within the AAP leadership, others questioned her right to occupy the “Chief Minister’s seat”.

The AAP has reiterated that Arvind Kejriwal will continue serving as the Chief Minister. Nevertheless, the party has refrained from commenting on speculations regarding Sunita Kejriwal’s possible foray into politics.

“Our MLAs from Punjab informed us yesterday that numerous MLAs in the state were enticed with monetary offers to defect and join the BJP. They were promised Y+ security, positions, and even the opportunity to contest the Lok Sabha elections,” said Bharadwaj. The party’s lone MP in the Lok Sabha, Sushil Kumar Rinku (48), and MLA from Punjab Sheetal Angural joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.

“The proposition of party switching is not uncommon, but when it comes to Punjab, it’s beyond comprehension. Rinku’s tenure as MP has concluded, and with the Model Code of Conduct in effect, his options are limited to contesting elections,” said Bharadwaj. “If you seek an evaluation, it is evident that BJP will rank fourth in Jalandhar, Punjab,” claimed the Minister.

Bharadwaj also said that during a press briefing on Wednesday, three Punjab MLAs, namely Amandeep Singh, Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, and Jagdeep Kamboj, revealed that not only these three, but a significant number of our MLAs, received enticing phone calls urging them to defect to the BJP. “It seems that what Arvind Kejriwal had previously mentioned has materialised today — ‘Operation Lotus’ appears to have been orchestrated with the aim of destabilising AAP and undermining our governments in Delhi and Punjab,” he added.

Last week, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a closed-door meeting with Rinku to gather feedback about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In the 2022 Assembly elections, the Congress had won in five out of the nine segments in the Jalandhar parliamentary seat, while the AAP bagged the remaining seats. The 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will go to the polls on June 1.

इस दौरान पंजाब भाजपा के अध्यक्ष सुनील जाखड़ भी मौजूद रहे। सुशील कुमार रिंकू ‘आप’ के एकमात्र लोकसभा सांसद हैं, ऐसे में इसे आम आदमी पार्टी के लिए यह एक बड़ा झटका माना जा रहा है। सुशील कुमार रिंकू ने ऐसे समय में बीजेपी ज्वाइन की है जब ‘आप’ ने जालंधर से उन्हें टिकट देने की घोषणा कर दी थी। सांसद रिंकू व विधायक शीतल अंगूराल दोनों ही बुधवार को दिल्ली स्थिति बीजेपी मुख्यालय पर मौजूद रहे। सुशील कुमार रिंकू पहले कांग्रेस में भी रह चुके हैं। सांसद बनने से पहले वह जालंधर पश्चिम सीट से विधानसभा चुनाव भी जीत चुके हैं।

आम आदमी पार्टी ने उन्हें 2023 में जालंधर लोकसभा सीट के उपचुनाव में अपना प्रत्याशी बनाया था। यहां से जीत दर्ज करने के बाद वह पिछले एक साल से इस सीट का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे हैं। गौरतलब है कि दिल्ली में समझौते के बावजूद पंजाब में आम आदमी पार्टी और कांग्रेस अलग-अलग चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। वहीं शीतल अंगुराल ने साल 2022 विधानसभा चुनाव में सुशील कुमार रिंकू को हराया था। शीतल अंगुराल के हाथों मिली इस हार के बाद रिंकू ‘आप’ में शामिल हो गए थे। शीतल अंगुराल जालंधर पश्चिम सीट से विधानसभा चुनाव जीते हैं।

इससे पहले मंगलवार को लुधियाना से कांग्रेस सांसद रवनीत सिंह बिट्टू ने बीजेपी ज्वाइन की थी। बिट्टू का कहना था कि वह पंजाब और केंद्र के बीच के खाई को पाटना चाहते हैं इसलिए बीजेपी में आए हैं। गौरतलब है कि ‘आप’ के इन दोनों नेताओं ने ऐसे समय भाजपा में जाने का फैसला किया है जब कि आम आदमी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक व दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को ईडी ने आबकारी नीति मामले में गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। वह फिलहाल ईडी की रिमांड पर हैं।

पंजाब में लोकसभा की कुल 13 सीटें हैं जहां आप और कांग्रेस ने अलग-अलग चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया है। आप ने अब तक 8 सीटों पर प्रत्याशी उतार दिए हैं जिनमें रिंकू का नाम भी शामिल था।

उन्होंने कहा की इस बीच सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल के समर्थन में दिल्ली, पंजाब, हरियाणा, बेंगलुरु समेत कई स्थानों पर ‘आप’ कार्यकर्ताओ ने विरोध किया। कई जगह पुलिस ने ‘आप’ के वरिष्ठ नेताओं, मंत्रियों और समर्थकों को हिरासत में लिया।

आप पार्टी पंजाब मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान भी अरविन्द केजरीवाल के घर पहुंचे और इस बारे में उनकी धर्मपत्नी सुनिता से बातचीत की और अन्य सभी विधायक और पार्षद भी शुक्रवार शाम को सीएम के घर पहुंचे और उनके परिजनों से मुलाकात की। सभी विधायक और पार्षद पैदल मार्च करते हुए उनके घर पहुंचे। इस दौरान दिल्ली और पंजाब विधानसभा के स्पीकर भी मौजूद रहे।

इससे पहले पार्टी के कई वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने भी घर पहुंचकर परिजनों से मुलाकात की। इस मीटिंग में आप आदमी पार्टी पंजाब नयागांव के जिला सेक्रेटरी एवं ब्लॉक प्रभारी हज़ूर सिंह बबला, गुरविंदर सिंह गोल्डी (विधान सभा कमेटी मेंबर), ऐडवोकेट गगनदीप सिंह भी शामिल थे।

As per the ED, Kejriwal, along with other top leaders of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), allegedly received kickbacks amounting to Rs 100 crore in connection with the Delhi excise policy, and this money was transferred through a series of intermediaries and middlemen, implicating BRS MLC K. Kavitha and members of the ‘South Group’ in the process.

Kejriwal had evaded nine summonses by the ED, resulting in the filing of two cases against him under the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in the court. The accumulation of evidence by the ED ultimately prompted the arrest. On March 16, the ED, while seeking custody of Kavitha, who was arrested from Hyderabad the previous day and is the daughter of BRS supremo and former Telangana Chief Minister, revealed her alleged involvement as a “key conspirator and beneficiary” in the alleged scam.

The probe agency, in its plea for custody, had alleged that along with other members of the ‘South Group’ – Sarath Reddy, Raghav Magunta, and Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Kavitha conspired with top leaders of the AAP, including CM Kejriwal and his deputy and Excise Minister Manish Sisodia, providing them kickbacks amounting to Rs 100 crore.

“In exchange for the kickbacks paid to the leaders of AAP, she had access to the policy formulation and was offered provisions to ensure a favourable position to her,” read the ED’s application before the court.

The ED also alleged that Kavitha further got stakes in the partnership of Indo Spirits, through her dummy Arun Pillai, without substantial investment in this firm and distribution business of Pernod Ricard India Pvt Ltd, which is one of the biggest manufacturers in the country and thus made Indo Spirits, the most profitable L1 in the Delhi Excise policy 2021-22 period and thus recouped proceeds of crime in guise of profits.

“Further, in the policy, the profit margin of the wholesaler was increased to 12 per cent so that out of this margin, a portion of it could be taken back as kickbacks. This was done to create a continuous stream of illegal funds for the AAP in the form of kickbacks from the wholesalers and for the South Group to recover the kickbacks paid and further generate profits from this entire conspiracy,” the application claimed.

Sarath Reddy, Raghav Magunta, and Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy had turned approvers in the case. The ED claimed that Kavitha and the others paid bribes to the top AAP leaders, as per the statement of Srinivasulu Reddy, dated July 14, 2023, recorded under Section 50 of the PMLA and his statement dated July 17, 2023, recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.

As per the statement, submitted in court, Srinivasulu Reddy said that in March 2021, he read in a Delhi newspaper that the city government was privatising the liquor trade, and as they have been in the liquor business in south India for the last 71 years, they had considered expanding to Delhi and sought to meet the CM.

He stated that the CM’s office had given him time on the evening of March 16, 2021, and when he met Kejriwal, “he was cordial and said that we welcome everyone in Delhi to do business”.

“Regarding the liquor business earlier, Kavitha had already approached me to do liquor business in Delhi and offered to pay Rs 100 crore to the party i.e. the AAP, and she will call you in this liquor business connection or you call her, discuss the future, since already their team is working in Delhi,” he said, as per his statement.

The ED, quoting his statement, said Kavitha called Srinivasulu Reddy on March 19, 2021, and asked him to meet her, which he did the next day, and she told him that Kejriwal had spoken to her and asked her to give Rs 100 crore and accordingly, she asked Srinivasulu Reddy to arrange Rs 50 crore for this.

“Kavitha told him that her CA Buchi Babu would visit him and his son Raghav Magunta to coordinate this. Buchi Babu visited them the next day and Raghav Magunta told him that he could arrange Rs 30 crore and finally, Rs 25 crore was paid in cash to Abhishek Boinpally and Buchi Babu on the instructions of K. Kavitha,” it said

The ED also said that Magunta, in his statement, dated July 26, 2023, recorded under Section 50 of the PMLA, and another one, dated July 27, 2023, recorded under Section 164 of CrPC, admitted he paid Rs 25 crore in cash to Boinpally and Buchi Babu as per the agreement between Kavitha, himself and his father Srinivasulu Reddy.

The agency claimed that this cash transfer took place in two parts – on March 28, 2021, Rs 10 crore was delivered by Raghav Magunta’s staffer Gopi Kumaran to an address given by Buchi Babu in Chennai and in June 2021, an amount of Rs 15 crore delivered by Gopi Kumaran to an address given by Boinpally, and that Gopi Kumaran has corroborated the statement of Raghav Magunta.

The ED further said that Sarath Reddy, in his statement, dated April 25, 2023, recorded under Section 50 of PMLA, 2002 and dated April 29, 2023, recorded under Section 164 of CrPC, said that sometime in March 2021, Arun Pillai contacted him and informed him that there was a new business opportunity in the Delhi liquor business and Kavitha was in discussion with CM Kejriwal and his deputy Sisodia regarding the upcoming policy through Vijay Nair.

“Soon after this discussion with Pillai, Reddy met Kavitha in Hyderabad. Kavitha also told him that she had discussed the matter with Magunta and informed him that her team (Pillai, Buchi Babu, and Boinpally) was already working in Delhi with Nair on this,” the ED’s application read, adding that she also told Reddy that Nair would handle all the issues on behalf of Kejriwal and Sisodia.

“The evidence, the letters of the Chief Minister evading the summonses by calling them ‘political’ and ‘illegal’ and the cases the agency filed against Kejriwal before the court emboldened the directorate and ‘prepared the ground for the sternest legal action,” a source said.

The Delhi excise policy scam case stems from a report submitted by Chief Secretary, Naresh Kumar, to Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena in July 2022, hinting at potential procedural irregularities in the policy’s formulation. He accused the then Excise Minister Sisodia of making arbitrary and unilateral decisions and contended that the implementation of the new policy led to financial losses for the government, while certain leaders and ministers affiliated with the AAP allegedly received kickbacks.

Two separate cases, one initiated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and another focusing on suspected money laundering being probed by the ED, were filed. The investigation was initially handled by the CBI, resulting in Sisodia’s arrest in February 2023. Subsequently, the ED assumed responsibility for exploring potential money laundering aspects of the policy.

Following the CBI’s identification of Sisodia and 14 others, including AAP’s communications in-charge Nair, in its FIR, the ED informed a court in March about the alleged proceeds of crime exceeding Rs 292 crore and emphasised the need to establish the modus operandi behind these purported financial irregularities.(IANS)

कांग्रेस, जो 2022 के विधानसभा चुनावों में अपमानजनक हार का सामना करने के बाद अभी तक सदमे से बाहर नहीं आ पाई है, उसे वरिष्ठ नेताओं के बाहर होने के अलावा, राज्य इकाई के भीतर संघर्ष का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। राजनीतिक पर्यवेक्षकों ने आईएएनएस को बताया कि अगर अकाली दल और भाजपा के बीच कोई चुनाव पूर्व गठबंधन नहीं होता है, तो आप, भाजपा, शिअद और कांग्रेस के बीच चतुष्कोणीय मुकाबला होगा।

बहुजन समाज पार्टी (बसपा), और कट्टरपंथी शिरोमणि अकाली दल–अमृतसर (शिअद–अ) – जिसके सिमरनजीत सिंह मान संगरूर सीट से मौजूदा सांसद हैं – भी उम्मीदवार उतार सकते हैं। बसपा ने अकाली दल पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के साथ गठबंधन का आरोप लगाते हुए उसके साथ अपना गठबंधन खत्म करने की घोषणा की है।

इस बीच, आप ने जिन उम्मीदवारों को टिकट दिया है, वे सभी मौजूदा विधायक हैं, जिनमें ज्यादातर मंत्री हैं। दिल्ली की तर्ज पर पंजाब में भी पार्टी ने ज्यादातर विधायकों को मैदान में उतारा है। आम आदमी पार्टी ने पंजाब के जिन मंत्रियों को लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए उम्मीदवार घोषित किया है, उनमें अमृतसर से मौजूदा मंत्री कुलदीप सिंह धालीवाल, खडूर साहिब से लालजीत सिंह भुल्लर, बठिंडा से गुरुमीत सिंह खुड़िया, संगरूर से गुरुमीत सिंह मीत हेयर और पटियाला से डॉ. बलबीर सिंह शामिल हैं।

पिछले लोकसभा चुनावों में काँग्रेस ने आठ सीटें जीती थीं जबकि एनडीए – जिसमें भाजपा और शिअद शामिल थे – ने चार सीटें और आप ने एक सीट जीती थी। राज्य की 13 सीटों में से चार अनुसूचित जाति के उम्मीदवारों के लिए आरक्षित हैं, जबकि बाकी सीटें अनारक्षित हैं। भाजपा नेता और दो बार के मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिन्दर सिंह अपनी पार्टी के अकाली दल के साथ गठबंधन के पक्ष में हैं, जो कभी भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाले राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन (एनडीए) का लंबे समय तक साथी रहा था।

हाल ही में एक न्यूज चैनल को दिए इंटरव्यू में अमरिंदर सिंह ने दावा किया कि पंजाब भाजपा अध्यक्ष सुनील जाखड़ भी गठबंधन के पक्ष में हैं। दोनों पार्टियों के बीच सीटों के बंटवारे को लेकर उन्होंने कहा कि इस मामले पर आलाकमान चर्चा करेगा। उन्होंने दावा किया, ”अगर भाजपा और अकाली दल एक साथ आ जाएँ तो हमें कोई नहीं हरा सकता।” फसलों के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (एमएसपी) के कानूनी प्रावधान सहित प्रदर्शनकारी किसानों की माँगों पर, अमरिंदर सिंह ने कहा कि उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री के साथ राज्य और किसानों से संबंधित मुद्दों पर चर्चा की।

वर्ष 2022 में हुए पिछले विधानसभा चुनावों में, 117 सदस्यीय सदन में एसएडी विधायकों की संख्या 2017 की 15 सीटों से कम होकर तीन हो गई थी, जो अब तक सबसे कम है। अमरिन्दर सिंह और जाखड़, दोनों पूर्व कांग्रेस नेता, प्रमुख विद्रोही हैं। दो दशक से अधिक लंबे अपने संबंधों को तोड़ते हुए, अब निरस्त किए गए तीन विवादास्पद कृषि कानूनों पर तीव्र मतभेद उभरने के बाद, अकाली दल सितंबर 2020 में राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन से बाहर हो गया।

संकटग्रस्त अकाली दल को फिर से खड़ा करने और उसके नेताओं के पलायन को रोकने के लिए शिअद प्रमुख सुखबीर बादल, जो पार्टी के सत्ता में रहने के दौरान ‘सुपर मुख्यमंत्री‘ के रूप में जाने जाते थे, पूरी ताकत से जुटे हुए हैं। उनकी पत्नी हरसिमरत कौर बादल, जिनके पास मोदी के नेतृत्व वाली दोनों केंद्र सरकारों में खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग का प्रभार था, संसद में राज्य–विशिष्ट मुद्दे उठा रही हैं। पति–पत्नी की जोड़ी ने 2019 में संसदीय चुनाव जीता था।

चुनाव की घोषणा से ठीक पहले, वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता, पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और पटियाला से चार बार की सांसद परनीत कौर दिल्ली में भाजपा में शामिल हो गईं। वह कैप्टन अमरिन्दर सिंह की पत्नी हैं। कांग्रेस को एक और झटका देते हुए उसके मौजूदा विधायक राज कुमार चब्बेवाल शुक्रवार को आप में शामिल हो गए। 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में पंजाब में 65.96 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ था।

राज्य के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी सिबिन सी. ने कहा कि पंजाब में कुल 2,12,71,246 मतदाता हैं, जिनमें 1,19,29,959 पुरुष; 1,07,75,543 महिलाएं; और 744 ट्रांसजेंडर मतदाता हैं। राज्य की 13 संसदीय सीटों के लिए कुल 24,433 मतदान केंद्र बनाए गए हैं।

He said ever since then, his every action has been aimed at fulfilling the dreams of the iconic martyr who had laid down his life for emancipating the country from the clutches of foreign imperialism.

Mann said in line with this philosophy, his government had embarked several pro-people and citizen-centric schemes to give a push to development and ensure the prosperity of its people. The Chief Minister unequivocally said in the past two years that he had not rested even for a minute and has been making concerted efforts for the progress of the state.

He said the results have started pouring in as due to the efforts of the government, functions of celebration have started taking place in Punjab. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation of the expansion of Verka Milk Plant Mohali at a cost of Rs 325 crore.

He said that it will facilitate the people and further propel the progress of state adding that it is his dream to make sure that every section of the society makes progress in varied fields.  Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier Chief Ministers never dared to hold such events because they were reluctant to face the people due to their misdeeds.

The Chief Minister said the traders don’t want anything else except a congenial atmosphere to work and excel in field adding that the state government is committed for it. He said that the state government has found a noble way for it by starting the Sarkaar Tuhade Dwaar scheme. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he had promised that the government will not run from Chandigarh but from villages due to which this Scheme has been launched.

The Chief Minister said that the people of state had bestowed a huge responsibility on him by giving a whopping mandate to his government due to which he is duty bound to serve the masses. He said that people now have faith in working of the state government due to which the NRIs are now becoming active partners in the development of Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann said now the NRIs are donating their properties and houses to the state government for setting up Aam Aadmi clinics in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the youth who were compelled by the system of previous governments to migrate abroad are now returning back which is a positive trend of reverse migration in the state. He said that his government had provided government jobs to more than 43,000 youths in just two years, marking a record in Punjab’s history.Bhagwant Singh Mann said that among those who secured these government jobs, some are youngsters returned from abroad.

The Chief Minister said that the state has created history by purchasing Goindwal power plant owned by a private company GVK Power. He said that for the first time this reverse trend has started that the government has purchased any private power plant whereas in the past the state governments used to sell their assets to the favorite individuals at ‘throw away’ prices. 

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that as coal from Pachwara coal mine can be used only for government power plants so with purchase of this power plant this coal can be aptly utilized for producing power to provide it to every sector of the state. The Chief Minister said that the state government is making concerted efforts for the welfare of the youth of the state. He said that the focus of his government is to ensure that youth become job givers instead of job seekers.

 Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is the need of hour to carve out a progressive and prosperous Punjab.The Chief Minister said that the business blaster scheme started at the school level in a right step in this direction. He said that 829 Aam Aadmi Clinics are now operational in the state adding that to impart quality education to students Schools of Eminence have been set up in the state. 

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that state is witnessing unprecedented development in every sphere adding that no stone will be left unturned for it. The Chief Minister said that the Union government has withheld the funds of RDf and National Health Mission just to harass the state this despite of the fact that Punjabis had made enormous sacrifices in national freedom struggle.

 He said that these Rs 8000 crore stalled by the centre could have given impetus to the development of the state adding to get these funds it is imperative that AAP gets all the 13 Lok seats including ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this will empower him to work more forcefully for the progress of the state and prosperity of its people.

The Chief Minister said that the traditional parties are envy of him because he hails from a common family. Bhagwant Mann said that these leaders who believed that they have divine right to rule the state due to which they are not able to digest that a common man is running the state efficiently. He said that these leaders have befooled the people since long but now people are not getting swayed by their misleading propaganda.The Chief Minister quipped that a former Finance Minister of state chanted rhetoric of ‘empty state exchequer’ for nine long years thereby jeopardising development of the state. 

However, he said that after assuming charge of the state government every single penny is being spent on development of state and welfare of its people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government has checked the pilferage in the state exchequer to ensure that every single penny is spent judiciously for well being of people.
