SC: EC to Consider Starting Polling at 5 am in View of The Ramzan Month

The Supreme Court asked the Election Commission to pass necessary orders on a plea seeking to begin voting at 5 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. in view of the Ramzan month. It is coinciding with the remaining phases of voting in general elections.

Earlier, a controversy erupted when AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said coinciding of Lok Sabha polls with Ramzan would not hamper poll percentage, rubbishing claims made by some leaders to the effect. Reacting to the controversy, the Election Commission (EC) had earlier said polls are conducted during Ramzan as an entire month cannot be excluded from the schedule.

Naxals Attack CRPF Vehicle in Gadchiroli, 4 CRPF Jawans Martyred

At least four personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed and 10 were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast triggered by Naxals in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.

The blast was executed by Naxals on a police vehicle which was carrying 16 security personnel.

The attack was carried out on the Kurkheda-Korchi road in north Gadchiroli, a Naxal-hit area.

Earlier in the day, the Naxals had torched more than 50 vehicles and machines used for road construction in Gadchiroli in Maharashtra. The incident took place early in the day when the state was getting ready to celebrate its foundation day, Maharashtra Divas; while the Maoists were in the final stages of observing a week-long protest to mark the first anniversary of 40 of their comrades who were gunned down by security forces on April 22 last year.

The targeted vehicles mostly belonged to Amar Infrastructures Ltd. and were engaged in construction works for the Purada-Yerkad sector of NH 136 near Dadapur village.

The Naxals also put banners and posters condemning the killings of their comrades last year, before setting ablaze the vehicles.

The Gadchiroli-Chimur region had voted in the second phase of Lok Sabha election on April 28 and had recorded highest voting, at 71.58%.

The actress, however, has gotten used to it. This time, right before elections trolls used the same scene reference to caution vote casters, saying “This election, don’t be like Swara Bhaskar, use your finger wisely. Vote Wisely!”

While everyone was busy with exercising their constitutional right, few were prioritizing slut-shaming the actress on the roads. A boy and a girl were seen holding placards on the roads that read the slogan. Swara took to her twitter account to talk about it.

Trolls have found various ways to link her masturbation scene to almost anything and the actress is waiting patiently for the storm to pass.
