Touted as the fastest network, Aaj Tak and India Today are leading media brands in their respective segments, and have a huge viewership. Getting emotional, hundreds of viewers who wanted to express their sentiments, were charged monies to get their views published/highlighted on the live chat on YouTube.

Here are few Screenshots from the live streaming of Aajtak and India Today, where they asked users to pay from Rs 20 to as high as Rs 10,000-to get their comment highlighted during a live chat.

However, not everyone was willing to pay. And in that case, those who wanted to comment for free, had to be contented with non-highlighted spots.

This reporter however, refused to pay and thus the comments were lost in the sea of comments. The live show was being watched by atleast 2,00,000 people on YouTube at any given time.

India Today group did not respond to the tweet sent to their official handle.
