TC Bureau Jalalabad: The countdown for Municipal bodies’ election in Punjab is on roll and throughout the districts the filing of nominations has been commenced . Sharing the information about different party candidates proffering their names , the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Fazilka Keshav Goyal accrued with nomination papers . Till 1st February , the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Fazilka enrolled with 40 names and Arniwala witnessed enrollment of 19 names of different candidates of different parties.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jalalabad Suba singh clarified that there hasn’t been any name registered till date. Talking to SDM Abohar Jaspal Singh , said ” The office has recieved total 56 nominations , 3 on 30th January and 53 on 1st February.” Extending the information he also said that the nomination procedures started on 30th January and last date of submission is 3rd February and for taking back the names from contesting the elections , last date is 5th February. He also appealed the people to take active part in holding free and fair elections.
