Bansal assures quick redressal of demands in neglected Manimajra, Khuda Lahora

Congress Lok Sabha candidate Pawan Kumar got a rousing welcome as he reached Manimajra (Samadhi Gate) and Khuda Lahora along with other party leaders. Bansal who has during his tenure ensured a lot of development in these two areas again gave assurance to residents that he would work towards redressal of their grievances, which had multiplied due to misrule of the ruling BJP.

While organisers at Manimajra like Firoz Khan and Pradeep Manchanda thanked Bansal for having undertaken several developmental works during his tenure but at the same time they bashed BJP’s sitting MP Kirron Kher for never paying them a visit let alone solving their issues.

Bansal while addressing a large gathering there emphasized on the need to have a functional college in Manimajra itself. He said, “It’s shocking to know that even after sanctioning funds for Manimajra college so that students don’t have to travel a long distance for their basic right such as higher education, the BJP leadership couldn’t even get it started.”

Some other local leaders included names like Angrej Singh, Hardyal Lambardar, Ajay Sharma, Teja Singh, Seema Singh, Rakesh Garg and Ex-Mayor Gurcharan Das Kala.

On the other hand, at Khuda Lahora Sarpanch Rakesh Sharma put forth problems like broken roads, need for a community centre, scarcity of water and electricity before Bansal, who promised him quick redressal of their issues. Also present at Khuda Lahora was sarpanch of Khuda Jassu, Jagdish Singh who extended his support to Bansal as well.

While addressing a huge gathering, Bansal said that once voted to power, he will ensure that the funds allotted by the central government for the development of villages are spent effectively on Chandigarh villages’ development, which was unfortunately totally neglected by the BJP leadership.
